I am a creative and determined educational leader. I am excited to take on my new role as the new Executive Director at LASER Childcare. I have spent the past 18 years in both formal and informal educational spaces, working with students from ages 3-16 in different settings. I have had many roles throughout my career ranging from camp counselor, classroom teacher, curriculum leader, program director, and camp/after-school director. I have experience in conducting research, creating educational content/partnerships and methodologies, coaching new teachers, leading professional development workshops and directing after-school/camp programs.

Throughout my career, I’ve become passionate about educational leadership, curriculum and pedagogical development, project/play-based learning, and creating a culture of learning and feedback for both students and staff. My approach to leadership is one that always puts children at the center of everything an organization does.

Outside of the work day, I enjoy live music, time with family and friends, cooking, NY Sports (a born and bred NYer at heart), and crafting. I am looking forward to opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with all community members in my first few months here at LASER.
